Florence

Florence is probably my favorite city in the world. Every time I visit the city of lilies, I find new places to visit and details that a didn’t notice the previous time. Florence is the cradle of the Renaissance, and is the home of many artists, such as Leonardo da Vinci, Michelangelo Buonarroti and Filippo Brunelleschi to name a few.

The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore

Most tourists chose to see Florence from the top of the famous Brunelleschi Dome, but as a true lover of art, I prefer to see the Dome from the outside. If you are an art lover like me I suggest you go to the store “Rinascente” in Piazza della repubblica, and reach the roof top, where you can enjoy the view on both Piazza della Repubblica and the Dome while sipping some wine.

If you ever find yourself in Florence, make sure to take a picture on Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) and have a lunch break with pici al ragù di cinghiale (pasta with wild boar meat) and of course, the classic fiorentina.
